Who am I?

I am a former high school English teacher with an MA in English language and literature. As a teacher, proofing and editing written texts was a part of my everyday job. However, I also worked as a freelance content editor for the first 6 months of starting my business. I took a few copywriting courses in the past few years, so I can help you with your sales texts or style, too.

What can I do for you?

I can edit and proofread your text, making sure your grammar and spelling are perfect. I will also focus on syntax and style of your text, making sure your message is transferred the way you want and need it to be.

Content editing and proofreading FAQ

1. What is the difference between editing and proofreading?

Editing happens right after the writing is complete. This can include anything from style and tone editing, fact checking, rewriting parts of the text, paraphrasing, reorganizing the text.

Proofreading is a step which takes place just before publishing. This is where someone would check your grammar. There is no change in the content itself in this step. I only check spelling errors, typos, numbers and grammar.

2. Do you do fact checking?

Yes! I can definitely do fact checking as a part of content editing. You can contact me to hear how that works.

3. How should I send you the text?

Please send a Word document. I will not accept a PDF or rewrite your text.

4. Do you do plagiarism checks?

No, I do not check for plagiarism, but I can suggest amazing apps for you to use.

5. What if I don't like the changes you made?

Since I always work with the ‘Track changes’ feature on, you can simply decline some of the changes and keep the rest. However, I do suggest you accept all of them for the best result.
